So… where do you go with a birthday girl who loves books as much as Grace? You take her to the Library on her birthday to get her VERY OWN LIBRARY CARD!! Grace was so excited for this! The rule at the DSM libraries is that you have to be five in order to get your own card and even then you have to be with a parent.
She walked right up to the librarian and told her that it was her 5th birthday and then asked to get her own library card. It was adorable!
Waiting patiently as the lady entered the information into the computer…

The kids and I stayed at the Library (DSM Central Library) for over an hour. We read books, put together puzzles, played games, worked on the computers, played in the playhouse, and more! It was a lot of fun and not very crowded. Even Josiah liked the Library this time… and he was even quiet!
The girls were reading so nicely until Josiah climbed up with them!!
OK…now that’s better…everyone reading and not choking each other!
