We (both Danny and I) felt like we were home again in NH this weekend while at Hidden Acres Christian Camp in Dayton, IA. Danny went to this camp last fall for our Men’s retreat and the teens’ retreat, and some friends of ours had told us about this special cabin at the Camp for Pastors and their families. We just had to schedule it for a weekend and try it out! It is a lovely cabin built only a few years ago for people in ministry to go (for FREE) for relaxing and renewal… and we were really looking forward to it. It was BEAUTIFUL and homey!!! We were back in the woods again with the feel of NH even though the ride there was through miles and miles of corn fields…a typical Iowan scene!
I wasn’t sure what to expect when we were going to a cabin the woods, but I was pleasantly surprised with the accommodations – everything was really nice and well kept. It was quite a retreat spot!
The outside The Mud Room
The Master Bed Room
The Bathroom The Kids Room
I will try to blog later about all of the fun we had at camp…the accommodations were GREAT!
