There is NEVER a good time to be sick, but being sick on your birthday is just IMPERFECT TIMING if you ask me! (Ask my nephew Cater and he would agree too!!!) It seems that Hannah has been sick a bunch on her birthday and this year was not an exception! She had a stomach bug on Thursday that lingered unto Friday – the day of her birthday. We decorated the house with streamers and balloons just in case she was feeling better, but she wasn’t, so we postposed all of the fun things that we had planned and the food she asked for until the next day! Good thing we had planned for the whole weekend to be filled with Birthday Festivities!
Here is the birthday girl with the pancake that Daddy had made…she wasn’t too thrilled to eat it! :( Happy birthday, four year old! We hope you feel better soon!!!
Grace and I hung these “4”s all over the house… she wasn’t too impressed by them! That’s ok. She liked them better the next day!
Even though she wasn’t feeling too well, she wanted to open presents! She wanted to open her card from Grampa and Nanna first… she knew that there would be money inside, and they didn’t disappoint!
Mr. Jim sent her the same card as Grampa and Nanna!
The kids loved all of the presents, but this puppet stage that Nanna made was the biggest hit – since they could all play with it! I didn’t get pictures of the other gifts (sorry, everyone!). She just wasn’t in the smiling mood and wasn’t thrilled with picture-taking!
At their birthday party the girls got a SnoCone maker from Madeline! It turned out to be a fantastic gift since that was the perfect thing for Hannah to eat with her tummy still not 100%. The kids really enjoyed making them and then eating them! Thanks, Madeline!
She seems to be feeling better….
