We love Loops!

It is true… we love fruit loops around here!  We don’t eat them everyday (as the girls would like), but we do love them as a snack.  Today we even got a little creative and made necklaces with them.  Hannah struggled with it a little because she didn’t see the point in putting the loops on the string just to eat them later.  This girl needed the immediate gratification!  who can blame her… she is just two!  Smile

I can't handle this cuteness!!!

Six months old... half a year!  I can't believe that Josiah is now 6 months old... and I totally can't handle this cuteness.  It is a totally different cuteness than the girls.   He is cute and tough and he totally reminds me of his daddy (yes, Danny does smile occasionally!).  It was so much fun taking a few pictures outside with his hat turned sideways!  :)

Love the crossed legs!

He LOVED pulling on the grass.. of course, he did eat a little!

It's pretty nice having a photographer around...

Danny's mom came to visit last weekend... it was great having a photographer around.  We were able to get some pictures of the whole family and just Danny and I... which doesn't happen very often!  Here are some of our favorites:

Blowing Raspberries

Josiah just learned how to blow raspberries on cue.... but of course, this video doesn't really display his new talent like he really can do it, though!  (He needs to get better at performing for the camera!)

Here it is... still cute!

The Playroom

We LOVE our playroom... it is so great to have a dedicated space for toys!  Sure, they (the TOYS and not the kids!) end up coming out of that room from time to time, but we can literally THROW them back in there to clean up on a later date.  Danny loves that we can close that door and we don't have to look at that mess!  YIPPEE!

Grace still loves reading and is discovering more and more things that she likes to do with her growing imagination.  I never know who she is going to be -- Curious George, Sister Bear, Wonder Red, etc.

Hannah really enjoys playing with things that she can put together in many ways -- like a magnetic car set, Mr. Potato Head, and a magnetic doll set (called Kelsey and Abbey).  Hannah is also really improving her puzzle skills.

Josiah is really starting to have fun playing... he mostly enjoys chewing on the toys, but that is ok.  He is just so cute sitting in the toy room playing next to the girls.  He looks like a little man!

I MUST be ill!

So... what did I do with the kiddos tonight since Danny was gone?  I went to Wal*mart with a mission:  see how much I could buy for as little as possible!  I know... I MUST be ill!  That doesn't sound like fun to most people, but I loved the thrill of using the high value coupons that I have to get things for free or having overage....

Here is what I got:

3 Small bottles of Gain Dish Detergent
1 Air freshener
2 individual String Cheeses
2 packages of Betty Crocker Potatoes
1 travel size Degree Deodorant

             How much did I spend?

18 cents... YES... EIGHTEEN CENTS!!!!  That is pretty good!

Then I got...

1 pound of Strawberries
2 pounds of Bananas

Total for this produce:   $2.01!!!!

Needless to say... It was a fun and thrifty evening!  I only spent $2.19 and got all of this!

Yes, I am odd... I may be ill... this couponing is a disease... a good one that has already saved us over $200 this year in groceries!

Oh... Spring is coming!

We are always THRILLED to be outside and this afternoon was no exception!  I love smelling the fresh air, I love feeling the warm sun, I love hearing the birds!  Oh... spring is coming!  We may get another flurry or two, but I can feel it... it is coming (April IS tomorrow, people!).

Grace and Hannah have really changed in their abilities since last fall.... they are more daring... great climbers... and their imaginations!  WOW!!  They love to play together and pretend... It is great to sit back and just enjoy them!

A sign of a good afternoon...

I really see Hannah and Josiah looking alike.... notice the shape of their chins -- IDENTICAL!
