Peanut Butter Cookies

Grace loves helping to bake, so during School Time this week we made Peanut Butter Cookies!    Gracie’s favorite part was to put the criss-crosses on the cookies with a fork.  She kept saying, “Squish, squish!  Squish, Squish!”    They were so yummy especially right out of the oven…. we had to put a few chocolate chips on them to melt all over the top!  YUM!!

What an invention!

I never used one of these Self Feeders with the girls… I knew about them, but I don’t know why I didn’t try it!  Josiah loves feeding himself bananas and melons in this nifty invention!  We love it too – it keeps him quiet for a long time, until he needs more food in it!  This morning he ate a WHOLE banana in this self feeder!  What an invention!

All Moms Love Play Dates!

Last week I invited all of the moms from MOPS over to our house for a play date!  It was an INCREDIBLY hot week, but we got outside with our friends to get wet in the little pool and sprinkler.  We had a lot of fun seeing our friends and having them at OUR house.  I love our large yard and FENCED IN YARD!!  I don’t even have to worry about the kids.

We hope to have another play date soon… it makes the morning FLY BY!!!  LOVE IT!

Promotion Sunday

Yesterday was promotion Sunday at church.  Grace and Hannah got to go to their new classes, which was a BIG DEAL for Hannah.  She “graduated” from the security of the Nursery to across the hall in the Two Year Olds Class!  She was so excited for this event and had been talking about it ALL WEEK!  She rehearsed who was going to be there and where she had to go.  She was looking forward to playing with NEW toys and going to Song Time with the Preschool Choir.  The Choir is made up of 2-4 year olds.  Grace is in the choir so Hannah was eager to see her sister there during church.  They were so cute when they saw each other – like they had been separated for months (I was subbing in Hannah’s new classroom for the morning)!!   I am so glad that Hannah didn’t cry or was clingy.  She walked in with confidence and joy… gotta love her spunk!

Here they are in the front yard before we left for church:

Praise the Lord for Swings!

We feel so blessed to have a new swing set in our yard!  Our neighbors offered it to us last week because their kids had outgrown it.  We were delighted to take it – you all know how much I like things that are FREE – and the kids ALL love to swing and swing when we go to any play ground!

Danny and Bob took it a part in sections and slid it over to our yard on Saturday morning.  The kids have truly enjoyed swinging and swinging!  I even got one of the swings this weekend at a Garage sale for $1 so all of the kids have a special swing that fits them.

Bath Time!

Josiah just loves his bath time these days... he loves to splash and make a TOTAL mess!  We need to get him into the tub instead of the sink now!  That is a project for this weekend... he continues to grow and is a joy to all of us!

Memorial Day Memories

We had a lot of fun yesterday at HOME with the kiddos. We had a party on Sunday with our Life Group, but Monday was WIDE open! We like having down time as a family, especially since Danny was away last week.

We spent time outside in the yard with the sprinkler on and the TINY pool filled… so relaxing! Then we grilled some steaks and drove over to DQ for ice cream – I had an Oreo blizzard with chocolate ice cream! It was perfect – the ice cream AND the day!!!
