There is no doubt about it.. one of my favorite spots to be is on the beach – the warm sun, the gentle breeze, the crashing waves, the serenity. It is all amazing to me. I just LOVE to be there. But when I say BEACH to some people they think of the commercial boardwalk , the hustle and bustle, the rides, food, games, people etc. THAT IS NOT THE KIND OF BEACH I AM TALKING ABOUT!!! THAT is the OPPOSITE of what I LOVE! So… a vacation to Sanibel Island, FL is just glorious to me – away from people, flashing lights, commercialism, etc.!!
On our first night there we went for a nice walk on the beach… but with four children who are excited about the water and the waves and the sand and the seagulls and the millions and millions of shells, it just can’t be a nice walk on the beach! It turns into a very wet and sandy experience – without bathing suits and towels. It was fine, though, really! I was at my beach and loving the whole thing!
The gateway into my special place….
Collecting shells… we heard a lot of “Look at this one, momma!”
Caleb loved his first real experience on the beach… he loved walking and collecting things… especially sticks!
The newlyweds…
Covering their feet…
Caleb checking out the water…
“The higher we lift our shorts, the deeper we can go in the water!”
Loving the hair!
Oh, beach, how we love you… we WILL be back tomorrow!
