“Taking the Shells off!”

When we picked up corn to eat for the first time this season, Grace wanted to know when we were going to take the shells off!  How cute!  The kids helped me husk them and then we boiled the corn as part of dinner!  SUPER YUMMY!  We just LOVE this peaches and cream kind!  YUM!  YUM!  This will be first batch of MANY this summer!!!

Six Week Little Man

I am not sure where I got this little outfit, but I LOVE IT!  It is just adorable and it knew that I had to take a few pictures of Caleb in it.  He is growing up so fast!

Feeding Frenzy

Before we left for VA and while we were there, I was having some feeding issues with Caleb.  I don’t know if he was just sensing some stress, if it was something I ate, or what, but he was definitely NOT happy nursing.  It was frustrating to both of us.  The only good thing was that the girls loved giving him a bottle one day.  They truly felt like little mommies and love talking so sweetly to him and holding his little head!

I am thankful that the issue has been resolved and he is back to eating – A TON!  He is up to 11 pounds and 15 ounces – at only 6.5 weeks!

Here are the pictures to document their joy:

Happy Fourth!

We invited friends over from a small group that Danny has from Men’s Fraternity.  We ate dinner together, played in the kiddie pools and then waited until dark for some Sparklers!!!!  It was so much fun!!!

Down by the Cool of the Pool

We have had record-breaking temperatures here in IA since we have been back from VA.  It has been hot!  Our thermometer even read 106 yesterday.  It is so hot that I am a little worried about taking Caleb out, except for short times in the morning or evening.  We decided to brave the heat this morning and take the kiddos to the wade pool for some cool fun… as you can see we ALL had a great time!!

Mothers' Day and Fathers' Day Videos

As a special addition to our Mothers' Day and Fathers' Day services, our childrens' ministries at church created videos to share using the kids from church. Grace and Hannah each had a part in them... SO CUTE!!  It was a little scary not knowing what they were going to say, but our friend Sherri filled me in on what Hannah says for the Fathers' Day video... all I can say is, OH BOY!!!

ENJOY!!!
