Fabulously Fall
I LOVE FALL! I love the colors of fall, the weather in fall, the changing leaves of fall, the apple picking, the pumpkin carving, the jeans and sweatshirts, the cool nights, the flannel sheets, the warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream, and the sweet smells of fall! Ah….Fall!!!
I am thrilled that my kiddos share in my fall excitement….. but they have a love that I do not have when we talk about fall. They LOVE to rake leaves and jump in them! Mr. Jim gave the kids rakes a few weeks ago when we had him over for dinner. They have been dying to use them, but we don’t have many trees in our yard to produce the leaves that they need. SO… after naps yesterday, we walked down to Easter Lake and raked leaves by the water’s edge. It was so pretty and SO MUCH FUN!
Here is our afternoon in pictures….
Nice jump, Hannah!
Caleb isn’t too thrilled with his sister’s kisses!
SISTERS ARE FOREVER!!
Boy, this kid has all kinds of expressions! So FUNNY!
Mom, this stuff tastes horrible!
I hope there are no bugs on those leaves, Grace!
I let the girls climb into this tree for some fun and pictures. I didn’t know that I would get such amazing shots! Grace had more fun with it than Hannah… she didn’t want to pose for me!
Football Frenzy
Friends of ours from church has a boy in 4th grade who plays football. His name is JP. We have wanted to go to a game, but we just haven’t been. Sunday was the championship game and his team was undefeated going into it! It was a great game… hard fought… and they won! We loved seeing the small players working so hard and really understanding the game. Danny hopes that it inspired Josiah to want to play. Here are a few pictures from the game. JP is #20!
(BTW…look at this GORGEOUS FIELD!!!! Artificial turf for 3-4th graders…. crazy!)
Josiah loved playing with Joshua and his Spiderman!
The girls enjoyed Hot Chocolate at half time!
We were so proud of JP, not because his team won, but because he gave each of his team mates an invitation to our Fall Fun Night at church! We thought that took a lot of courage! Way to go, JP!
