Carrying on the Tradition

We have gone to the apple orchard every year since Grace was born, but for some reason, we haven’t made it to the orchard until this weekend!  AND I AM SO GLAD WE DID!  We were a little afraid that we wouldn’t find apples, but we did.  We had to go to the very back of the orchard, but there were some beautiful Honey Crisp Apples within reach for all of the kids.  We had a blast in the GORGEOUS weather and with each other!

We found some Roly-Poly Caterpillars while we were walking to the orchard.  The girls carried them for a while, but here they are saying good bye to their friends!

Turn DOWN the volume

When Danny had Grace out on a date on Friday night, I put both of the little kids in the tub.  I didn't know that they were going to have a FABULOUS time together!  They were laughing and copying each other.  PLEASE TURN THE VOLUME DOWN... THEY WERE SOOOO LOUD!!!!

Oh, SO GOOD!

It was as good as it looked to little Josiah, who had been eying the cupcakes ALL AFTERNOON!  He somehow knew that they were for him and his special day.  He kept pointing to them and grunting.  I know he was saying… “How do I get that yummy goodness in me? Mom, how much longer are you going to make me wait? It IS my birthday!”   He FINALLY got the chance after dinner when we gave him his own cupcake.  He squealed and giggled and dove right it!  He was so cute to watch… gentle at first and then he tore into it like a ravenous beast!

Josiah was just so funny in the tub last night that I HAD to get a video... you understand, right?  So, I will have to apologize for the naked baby... he is just too cute and funny!

Happy Birthday, Josiah!

My baby is one!  I hardly can believe that it has been a year!  We are so blessed to have Josiah James in our lives.  As I rehearse the day of his birth in my mind, I can see the hand of the Lord in all of the details.  We are honored that He trusted us to have Josiah and are thankful for all of the lessons that we have learned through him.  These first days seem so long ago!
